Tips on Treating Psoriatic Arthritis

Psoriatic Arthritis can be quite a painful disease. I'm a person with Psoriatic Arthritis and have taken quite a number or internal and external treatments for the disease. In my experience, shots and pills can help but the person taking them needs to be in good shape without having any allergic reactions. The older or weaker the person taking the medication, the more chances there are if having issues.

My preference in dealing with Psoriatic Arthritis has been a more natural approach. When I see any joint first swelling up, I know to being precautions. These precautions include improving my diet, adding more healthy vegetables to my diet, and getting rest. For me, caffeine and chocolate can certainly flare up Psoriatic Arthritis.

I also find it useful to lower my stress level to deal with Psoriatic Arthritis. I'm not talking about just watching some TV or sleeping longer. I'm talking about finding the true times one really relaxes and making sure to maximize those times. Stress, in my opinion, is the biggest trigger of Psoriatic Arthritis and Psoriasis.

Diet can certainly flare up Psoriatic Arthritis, but rest and stress are the largest factors.

In terms of medical treatment, of course it is best to talk to a doctor to see what is the safest Psoriatic Arthritis treatment to try. Or, you can go my route and use LCD cream. LCD cream or ointments are normally used externally for Psoriasis, but I have noticed they do penetrate and help Psoriatic Arthritis.
